We’re so excited to welcome Chef Popy (Claudia Ruiz Farias) to Wonder & Whoa for two special pop-up cooking experiences this November!
In this hands-on class, young chefs will dive into the colorful food traditions of Chile and Argentina discovering how cooking connects us to culture, community, and creativity.
Chef Popy brings her Chilean roots, bilingual teaching style, and holistic approach to every class, making this a flavorful and heart-warming experience your kids will love.
Each 90-minute session includes guided instruction, ingredient exploration, and plenty of tasting fun. Kids will learn about real ingredients, kitchen basics, and how food can tell stories from around the world.

• Thursday, November 13 | 4:30–6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, November 15 | 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Ages: Best for ages 5–12
• Cost: $39 per session

✨ About Chef Popy
Claudia Ruiz Farias (Chef Popy) is a bilingual Chilean chef and educator who teaches kids to cook with curiosity and care. She holds degrees in Culinary Arts (JCCC, Kansas), Social Science (UDP, Chile), and Early Childhood Education (UMKC). Her workshops blend food, music, and mindfulness while highlighting locally sourced and minimally processed ingredients.
